The Jetty at rest between races.

This photo shows a quiet day on the lochside where you are glad for the sandwiches and hot bovril till the wind comes back!.  Note in the foreground the previous version of the Jetty and the clothes line

Am I ever going to get to the jetty !!.

The rare occasion pictured here is where this loch runs out of wind.   The norm is for the prevailing puffs of breeze to give reasonable sailing conditions. This type depicted, flat calm however, tests the skills to the limit seeking each gasp and windshift as it passes.   It must work as somebody always arrives back first !

I could have paddled quicker !!.

The jetty has plenty of room so rarely is parking a problem. If you look closely at this photo you can see Colin trying a different arm of the sport - Submarination !
Colin, next time put the bungs in !

There is always a debrief and discussion.

As in every sailing club, there is bleather and banter aplenty. It is amazing how a 15 minute race can take an hour's discussion !.  Thankfully it is always good natured or the pram occupant would have had something to add to the discussion.
The recently rebuilt decking provides a great vantage point and sun trap in summer for those members with sun worshipping families !

The Clubhouse is well facilitated.

This picture shows well the clubhouse and boat/spar shed.   There are male and female changing facilities with showers and toilets available.   Cooking equipment and sink facilities provide washing up and for the days when sailing is not an option there is a table tennis table for the more athletic members.

Reducing the waterline aids speed in minimal conditions.

This picture showing flat calm conditions is not the norm at this venue, usually our hilltop location has abundant breeze

Sailors of all ages gather to enjoy the sport or simply to paddle in the water.

This unusually evocative photo just sort of happened. Can you spot anything unusual ?.

This is an unusual photo and you may ask yourself why are you at a sailing club at dark O' Clock ? Why to get photos like this one of course !! Doesn't everyone ?.
