Windsurf competition 18 May 2003

Weather: Showery, wind SW shifting W. Big gulls and lusts. Warm.

Powerful gusts and windshifts caught out even the more experienced sailors, causing the lead to change unexpectedly in the races. An exciting start to the series.

Freestyle Challenge

Chris Campbell completed 15 manoeuvres in ten minutes, setting the standard for light winds.

Weather: Light winds. Big Board racing for all but two races !

RACING:

The conditions on race days favoured big board racing, with only two short board races being run.
Everyone won a race at some point, and Chris Darnbrough won overall with four first places and two second places, totalling eight points.

Freestyle Challenge:

The winner was Chris Campbell scoring 17 points. Runner up Chris Darnbrough scored 16.5 points.
