WINDSURFERS: The loch is good for windsurfing too !. When winds are light at the coast it can be blasting up here, and there's often a mix of chop and flat that's good for freestyle.
Most wind directions can be sailed (but mind and not trash your fin on the north east shallows).

Some big stars of the P.W.D.A. have been seen styling it up at the loch. This manoeuvre, a reverse one-handed back-to-sail inside the boom, is easy if you have elasticated joints !!!. Our top ladies professional windsurfing doll revealed her special secret - superglue on her feet !
Windsurfers - Race, Style and Speed Events
In 2004 there will be two competition days for race and freestyle for all Club windsurfers, and also informal competitions that you can try any time you're up; Such as -
- Short Board Racing
- Any two sailors can hold a race up the loch and back, and
score points in the annual competition. Guidelines on the
information sheet. - Speed Record
- A Club record you can attempt at any time.
- Freestyle Record
- Big board and short board records to be set and broken.
- Wavering
- Try a Club coast day at Gullane or Barassie.
- Win renown throughout all Fannyside with an entry in the art competition poetry, photos, installations, performance art,
paintings - all on a windsurfing theme.
